Earlier this year, we had the distinct privilege of attending Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2025, held from April 23 to 27th at the prestigious Fira Barcelona Montjuïc. This event gathered nearly 450 designers representing 32 countries, showcasing a remarkable array of bridal couture that will shape the forthcoming wedding season.
We have returned to Perth inspired by the innovative designs and refined craftsmanship witnessed on the runways and excited to bring many incredible gowns to Perth for the first time. Below, we share the key trends that emerged from the event, providing insight into what brides can anticipate for 2026.
1. Embracing Voluminous Silhouettes
A defining feature of this season’s collections was the pronounced emphasis on volume. Designers presented gowns with expansive skirts, dramatic puff sleeves, and sculptural forms that evoke a sense of grandeur and regality. Such silhouettes offer brides the opportunity to make a confident and memorable statement on their wedding day.
2. Harmonizing Structure with Sheer Elegance
Many designs artfully combined architectural elements with delicate transparency. Corsetry, exaggerated hips, and sheer panels were employed to enhance the natural form without compromising modesty. This synthesis of structure and softness results in gowns that are simultaneously modern and sophisticated.
3. Introducing Colour and Contrasting Details
The traditional white gown was thoughtfully expanded to include soft hues such as blush, champagne, and pastels, providing brides with subtle alternatives that retain bridal grace.
