Our day was honestly the most magical day. We had a pre party at QT rooftop so people could meet, mingle and start off the celebrations. My partner Liz, stayed in a seperate room that night as we wanted to keep with tradition, even though we are far from traditional! We were soooo nervous the morning of, got our hair done by our gorgeous friend and hair stylist Callie Carr, and make up artist was Sheridan (who works at the Emporium in Osborne park), she is incredible!
The day was so emotional and genuinely had so much love around us. The vibe we went for was ‘gothic sexy vibes’, all our guests wore black, flowers were black and had black accessories. I walked down the aisle with my father do Dolce Ensembles string quartet playing Ed Sheeran, it was a dream come true having a string quartet play for us.
The whole day was amazing, it really was. To our surprise we really loved our photoshoot, Liz and I are no very photogenic or posey people so we thought we would have been a little awkward- we had also warned the boys of this haha, but it was great! They made us feel so comfortable and was so natural. They made us laugh, had music on and got some really great pics. Our wedding video is beautiful, definitely cried the first few times we watched it. It was so lovely to take the time to look into each other’s eyes and kiss, and take the time to actually look properly at each other, really makes you fall more in love with your partner, we loved that time during the photoshoot.
The reception was such a vibe!! The mood there is so extra and cool, and kinda gothic because it’s dark, so fitted the vibe perfectly. Plus the food is amazing, especially the pizza. We had an audio guest book (glad you called), was hilarious, our guests could leave voicemails for us, and we listened to them the next day and couldn’t stop laughing. Our DJ was great, had a mixture of old school turns and gangsta songs throughout the night. For our first dance we also had the cloud of the floor (dj company does it), wow it was incredible, and so unique.
