In May 2018, my husband Anthony Danze proposed in Queens Gardens as I love flowers and go for a walk there every day on my lunch break from work. He even designed my engagement ring to look like a flower. I am also an environmental scientist so I love native flowers and nature so it was the perfect setting. We got married on the 8th December 2018 so we planned our wedding within 6 months!
When I had to find my special wedding dress, I followed in both of my older sister's footsteps and went to Dion. Both my sisters found their perfect wedding dress here and so did I. I chose the Watson gown because I liked the flowers that were on it (a recurring theme haha), how it flowed and the detailing of lace and crystals. What was even more special was my veil, which used by both my sisters for their weddings, and also from Dion. It has been handed down between my sisters, and will hopefully continue down to my niece one day.
We chose to get married at Aravina Estate in Yallingyup because of the beautiful setting, the flowers and because we both like spending time down south. While it was a shorter timeframe than most to plan a wedding, we still managed to have the wedding we dreamed of and celebrated with close family and friends.
